Let Me Introduce

Hermes Refinery

PPNKH refinery The designed capacity is 360,000 tons annually. our production feed is derived from condensate, NAPHTA, and Oil Sludge. The products of the refinery include Heavy (Hydrocarbon)Gasoline , Light (Hydrocarbon)Gasoline, NAPHTA, Bitumen, Petrol, Solvent, and Base Oil. The purpose of this refinery is to solve the problem of employment in the region, increase economic and business boom, as well as develop downstream industries, prevent raw and high -value petro -refinery products, and export to the country, the possibility of export of products and oil products is to all the western, eastern neighbors, the Persian Gulf and the CIS countries. This refinery is the only and the first refinery in Iran that can turn the oil sludge that is currently being dumped into a valuable product and prevent the wastage of national resources with its unique technology.

Specifications of oil derivatives

Base Oil

Base oil is an oil that is considered as a base for lubricants. After adding additives to the base oil, the final lubricant is obtained. In terms of volume, base oils are the most important components of lubricants, and in terms of weight, on average, they make up more than 95% of the formulation of a lubricant. Most of the base oils consumed in the world today are obtained from crude oil refining. Since most of the base oil used in the production of lubricants is obtained from petroleum sources, the base oil industry is considered a part of the petroleum industry.

gasoil-ntek

Light and heavy(Hydrocarbon) gasoil

Conventional gasoil and gasoil are both produced from crude oil, but their purification methods vary. In fact, it is considered an oil product، it is easier to purify gasoil than gasoil, however, it has more pollutants. Gasoline produces more energy per liter than gasoline, and the combustion process of the engine of the car is more efficient using it, with higher efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.

petrol -ntek

Petrol

Octane of gasoline is considered an oil product , or in other words, displays the octane number with the abbreviation on the on -the -name, and actually indicates the ability of the desired fuel at the time of combustion in the cylinder. In fact, more or higher this number, the higher the fuel tolerance against pressure, and it is best to use high octane fuel in gasoline engines.

bitumen-ntek

Bitumen

Oil bitumen is solid and semi-solid bitumen that is obtained directly from crude oil distillation or by other additional operations such as blowing air. Bitumen is the remained oil or heavy residue of crude oil distillation. The amount of crude oil bitumen varies from zero to more than half. In addition, bitumen obtained from different sources can have many differences which is considered an oil product .

Refinery Feed

  • Crude oil

This liquid has a relatively high viscosity and its main constituents are hydrocarbons.Crude oil is composed of several hydrocarbons. In addition to hydrogen and carbon, other elements such as nitrogen, sulfur, oxygen, and metals such as iron, nickel, and copper are found in crude oil compounds. The molecular structure of crude oil is derived from the structure of algae, plankton, and the plants that formed it. Changes in the molecular structure of crude oil are due to high pressure and temperature conditions in the process of crude oil formation.

    01
  • Gas condensate

Gas condensate is a liquid hydrocarbon flow that exists in natural gas reserves and is found as sediment and deposition in extracted gas and is mainly composed of pentane and heavier hydrocarbons (C5+) has low sulfur and is usually free of metals and approximately half of that is made of naphtha.

    02
  • Naphtha

Naphtha is a class of hydrocarbon liquid fuels placed in the crude oil refining distillation tower between light gases and kerosene. This liquid fuel can also be extracted from coal droplets. Naphtha has a variety of applications. The chemical and petrochemical industries are the main buyers of naphtha. It is used as a feedstock for the production of various petrochemical products including solvents and diluents, raw materials of various types of plastics, synthetic fibers, and industrial alcohols.

    03
  • Oil Sludge

Solid particles in extracted crude oil that are stored in oil reservoir, along with waxes, water and petroleum emulsions, create adhesive sludge materials that are always problematic and reduce the capacity of reservoirs, as well as problems such as corrosion of reservoirs. This leads to the operation unit in different time intervals to clean the reservoirs and remove the oil sludge and after aggregating with other produced waste materials , the unit stars to purify, sell and dispose them.
